FirstLine Therapy - Reversing Chronic Illness Naturally

Helping You Make Lifestyle Changes to Improve Health

Everyone knows that eating right and staying in shape are important for overall health. But life's everyday pressures—hectic schedules, work deadlines, family issues, etc.—can make it difficult to find the time for good nutrition, exercise, and adequate rest.

Whether you suffer from a lifestyle-related chronic disease, or have been advised by your doctor to eat right and exercise more, the FirstLine Therapy program can help.

Change Your Life and Change Your Health

FirstLine Therapy is a therapeutic lifestyle change, or lifestyle modification, program. Designed by health care professionals, FirstLine Therapy has been shown remarkably successful in helping individuals like you return to a path of extended health.

This is not a weight reduction program—it's a disease reduction program. While weight loss often occurs, it's only secondary to the primary goal helping you achieve and maintain a healthy body composition (lean-muscle-to-fat ratio) to improve health, manage disease, feel better, and reduce your risk to more serious conditions.

The Support You Need to Succeed ...

In truth, most doctors don't have the time, skills, or resources to provide you with effective lifestyle counseling. And so their patients—even those at high risk of disease—are often left to "figure it out" by themselves.

FirstLine Therapy Is different. It's structured with professional supervision to help you:

  • Establish realistic, personalized goals to improve health
  • Monitor your progress and help you stay on track
  • Learn how to eat and shop for healthy, nutritious foods that manage (not increase) cravings
  • Exercise in a way that builds muscle and gets rid of unwanted fat
  • Relax and manage unhealthy stress
  • Feel better and do more!

Lifestyle medicine is a specialized discipline. All FirstLine Therapy doctors must undergo an intense certification process. Ask Dr. Lauren Schroeder today if this program is right for you.

Introducing Our Newest Wellness Program...

Dr. Lauren Schroeder and the staff at the Wisdom of Wellness and Chiropractic Center would like to take a few minutes today to introduce our newest, and most exciting program to date! Introducing: FirstLine Therapy, Therapeutic Lifestyle Program, in association with Metagenics.

FirstLine Therapy (FLT) is a specialized therapeutic lifestyle change program unlike any other. Within that, the FLT system targets underlying causes of chronic illnesses by incorporating a sensible eating plan, exercise, nutritional supplementation, and stress management. In fact, the following key characteristics are unique to the FLT program:

1. FLT Is Not Just A Weight Loss Program ...
  • Most programs are focused on weight while FLT is best used as a first line treatment for common, chronic health problems (ie: high cholesterol, insulin resistance, unhealthy body composition).

2. The FLT Eating Plan Is Different ...

  • Most programs are focused on lowfat diets while FLT emphasizes the importance of a low-glycemic eating plan that is consistent with current research. (For those of you who don't know, Low Glycemic foods do not trigger a rapid rise in blood sugar, and can be a much healthier choice for most people than High Glycemic foods. Low Glycemic foods are often recommended for people who have Type I and Type II diabetes, because a Low Glycemic diet helps regulate insulin levels and keeps blood sugars in balance.)

3. FLT Incorporates Medical Foods and Nutritional Supplements ...

  • The appropriate use of medical foods and supplements enhances program effectiveness and shortens the time it takes for you to achieve risk reduction goals.

4. FLT Has Been Demonstrated To Be Effective In Human Clinical Studies ...

  • Most programs lack clinical evidence of effectiveness. (See Metagenic's main website for clinical studies and more information: http://www.metagenics.com/.)
Getting Started - A Matter of Fat

In order to measure your progress, you first need to know your current health status. A variety of health assessments may be performed, including a quick, non-invasive measurement of your body fat and lean muscle mass. (This measurement is provided through the use of a machine specifically designed for these types of measurements.)

Excess body fat can greatly increase your health risks. But a higher ratio of muscle increases your metabolism and is associated with a lower incidence of illness. Improving your muscle-to-fat ratio is perhaps the most powerful tool in controlling the aging process and restoring vitality.

And that's what FirstLine Therapy is all about!

For more information or if you have any questions, you may give us a call: 541-673-3276.

Dr. Schroeder is now a Certified FLT Practitioner, trained specifically in the science behind the program, and how to help you reach your wellness needs.

Have You Heard Of The OWA?

The Online Wellness Association, also known as OWA, "provides an immediate form of identifying legitimate wellness practitioners offering services online.

"The Online Wellness Association’s Seal of Approval is an indicator of authenticity between practitioner and client. This is part of OWA’s Mission Statement. OWA’s goal is to assure any potential client that visits the site of a wellness practitioner that this person is who they say they are, is certified to practice the services being offered and is “In good standing with OWA”. A simple click of this seal displayed on a practitioners website will instantly verify these requirements have been fulfilled to practice safely online. If the Seal of Approval does not click through to the OWA Website confirming the practitioners official certification, then they are not an OWA Professional Member endorsed by the Online Wellness Association.

"OWA is a full service online resource for wellness professionals who wish to establish immediate confidence and legitimacy for the consumer by displaying the OWA SEAL of Approval.

"To apply to have an OWA SEAL OF APPROVAL on your website click here to apply."

Dr. Lauren Schroeder is an approved OWA Professional Member. There was even a blog written about Dr. Schroeder on the OWA website. Click here to read on...

Since OWA is just beginning to spread her wings, they have an AMAZING referral program going on right now! If you would like to learn of another way to earn some money right now, and also help to build this incredible online service, be sure to check out the site for more information.
